If you have an ohm meter, connect it across the blades of the power plug and operate the switch to see if you get any change in resistance (put the brushes in first). WebMar 7, 2024 · I trust your polishing machine is older than 7 years, hence the difficulty you are experiencing to finding a replacement backing plate. My other suggestion is to try Super Gluing (Cyanoacrylate adhesives) the hook part of the velcro pad to the rubber disc part of the backing plate.
